Frequently asked questions
Can I print this keychain without an AMS unit?
Yes. The two-color print is achieved by a single filament change at layer 20, not by an AMS. You pause the print at that layer, swap the white filament for blue (or your chosen colors), and resume. The 3MF profile already has the pause set.
What do I do if the keychain feels too thin or flimsy?
The tested settings use 2 walls and 15% infill, which keeps it lightweight at ~7 g of filament. If you want a sturdier feel, increase walls to 3 and infill to 20% in your slicer. This will add a couple of grams but improve impact resistance for daily keyring use.
Can I resize the model to make a larger badge or coaster?
Yes. The 3MF file can be scaled uniformly in your slicer. Keep in mind that the filament change layer is set for the original size; if you scale up significantly, you may need to recalculate the layer number for the color swap so the logo still sits at the correct height.
