Frequently asked questions

Do I need to do a filament swap or use an AMS to print the two-layer black-and-white design?

Yes, because the model has a raised white top layer (the model number) on a matte black PLA base layer. The ready-to-print 3MF profile on MakerWorld includes the correct pause or filament-change commands for a 0.4 mm nozzle, so a single extruder with manual swap or an AMS/MMU will work.

Can I print this with a 0.6 mm or 0.8 mm nozzle instead of the recommended 0.4 mm?

You can, but the raised lettering and the attachment hole will lose detail and may become less readable or harder to open. The profile was tested at 0.4 mm and 0.2 mm layer height, so sticking with those settings gives the cleanest result for the small text and keyring loop.

What if my Peugeot model isn’t listed — can I add a custom number?

The article only provides files for the eight models shown (108, 208, 308, 408, 508, 2008, 3008, 5008). To print a different number you would need to edit the 3MF in a CAD program or contact the original publisher; the free download does not include a blank or editable template.
