Frequently asked questions
Do I need an AMS to print this keychain?
No. The download includes both AMS-compatible 3MF files and non-AMS versions with pauses inserted at the correct layers (layer 16 for orange, layer 23 for yellow), so you can change filament manually on a single-spool printer.
How long does the print take at 0.16 mm layer height?
With a 0.4 mm nozzle, 2 walls, and 15 % infill, the keychain uses only about 6 g of filament — so even at 0.16 mm layers, it should complete in under an hour on most modern printers.
Can I scale the model up or down without breaking the design?
Yes, because it is a simple flat keychain with no overhangs or fine bridges. Scaling will preserve the color-change layer positions proportionally, but keep in mind that the keyring hole may become too small if you scale down significantly.
